Reimagining attraction and retention of hospitality management talent– A multilevel identity perspective

چکیده

Through the lens of hospitality, an industry with chronic retention issues, this article seeks to stimulate reflection on labor-intensive industries and how we can reimagine their responses evolving labor market environment when seeking attract retain management talent. Drawing identity economics, whereby employees’ utility is important incentive in employment decision-making, necessity for a multilevel perspective formation advanced. Positing that work informed by individual (micro), organizational (meso), professional (macro) level factors, illuminates role macro stakeholders play employee formation, particularly hospitality industry. Further, it emphasizes interconnectedness levels shaping employee’s career decisions. series research questions, line inquiry articulated purpose addressing challenges attracting retaining talent from holistic perspective.
